Hi everyone, I'm Duff. I'm new here, really because I find the whole topic to be extremely interesting. I've had a couple of laser pens that I purchased off of ebay in the past and I've done research on building one out of my old broken down computer. It unfortunately never happened though! So today I'm here to learn more about lasers, the fascination with them and hopefully getting my new one from ebay in the mail soon!

So in short form, I know pretty much nothing about lasers, want to learn more and meet decent people!

Thanks for the welcome! I just received my first decent laser, a Laser 301 cheapo from ebay. I'm going to do a few pictures and what not of what I ended up with!

Just because it's a laser 301 doesn't mean it's crap. If your lucky, I heard they can be 80mw plus!

Remember, if you do experiments or think about buying lasers that safety should be first.
Also, it is generally better IMHO to start with cheaper, less powerful lasers in the beginning, before you gain for experience.
