Hello to all. My name is Mick. I got into Lasers along time ago but alot has changed.

I have been relearning and updating my knowledge of lasers from this site. (Excellent resource. Thank you)
I love this hobby and am looking forward to expanding my knowledge and helping others.

Hey Mick, Welcome to LaserPointerForums! Yeah there's denently a lot of information on this website and don't be afraid to use it. Do you own any lasers currently or are you browsing to buy one? Pictures are always welcome here. Have safe and happy lasering!

I did have a 120mw DPSS Green and a 300mw Red. Sold them because I was out of work.

Now Ime on my feet again. Its time to build some of my own.
So its time to start shopping. Yeh... lol

It's a shame you had to sell them Mick, But I'm glad to hear your back on your feet. Anyway yeah build your own and send us some pictures. ;) What are you planning on building?

Well first thing is a DVD-Burner 200mw Red. Then a GGW Violet.
Over time I am working towards making a budget RGV scanner with analog modulation.

Quite a big build to start with. But ime in the best place for help.

You have any recommendations on Uk suppliers?
Also whats best eye protection glasses?

Ile be using 405/523/650nm Ime looking for good protection.
Seems alot of choice but not many reviews.

You sound like you know a thing or two already so catch up on the changes, (won't take too long I'm sure), and enjoy your time.

Really good info on all aspects here and helpful pointers in the right direction if not directly available on the site. Those that try to help themselves first are rewarded with knowledge when they can't! ;)
