Hi,
I just wanted to stop in and say Hi and a thanks to everyone, this seems like a great forum with GREAT info from more than knowledgably people!!
I've loved lasers for quite a few years now, well since I was a kid (I remember wanting a ruby laser way back then). I thought I was through with them for a few years now, that is till I happened onto a video, which lead me here, after seeing the power you guys were getting from the 405nm's and that was it, the wallet came out and I find myself in the middle of tearing apart one of the pioneer 8x BDR-203, and making my first post here on LPF...
I did get the diode out of the sled ok, it was my first diode I removed all the way from a sled, and was much easier thanks to the BDR-203 thread's. I want to thank Jayrob for all of his help, and the others that risked their diodes testing them to their limit (before their limit hopefully) and sharing the current settings and other info!!
I just received the host and driver today and will be putting it together.
thanks again,
John
