Whats up guys, i wanted to get into the heatsink duscusion for small LED flashlights. there are few and far to come by, and me and my friends thought it would be nice if we had a thread about using/obtaining/or even making them.
this is the best one i've stumbled accross that will fit in a "1 inch" flashlight.
"when i say 1 inch i mean ROUGHLY one inch, it should always be a few millimeters smaller for compatabilities sake"
this heatsink comes from a great member of the community im sure you all already know, i dont know his name on THIS site, but his ebay name is
Lasers4u
and here is his heatsink.
this is the best heatsink I'VE come across for working with a tiny 1 inch flashlight, if anyone else knows of any others please share!
My entire reason for posting this thread was to collect information on other heatsinks for me as well as anyone else who may be interested. These heatsinks give us the ability to build small 100% duty cycle lasers with great heat dissapation. all in a 3x1 inch package. pretty amazing considering the NORMAL size of a laser pen at those amounts of power "100-400mw".
So if you have any thought or information you'd like to share please do so, In the end i hope to find the best of the best when it comes to heatsinks.
Glad to be part of the community and i wish you all the best of luck, and EVERYONE deserves a laser!
