HD-DVD diodes

i was thinking, and wouldnt you think these would drop significantly in price due to the death of HD-DVD?
or did they already, and i missed it.

they did drop but the laser hobbyist community has made the price rise since everyone wants a violet laser. im buying nroken phr-803 lenses from a chinese supplier since all thats needed is the diodes.

to be honest these lenses are probably more popular then when hd-dvd was still alive and kickin'

From what I can see, the prices are still dropping. I've heard that factories are obliged to support existing HD-DVD drives, for one year after the death (that's until Feb 19th 2009), which means they still make PHR-803T replacement sleds.
