i bought 2 of rhd's mosquito modules, and a guidesman host, i would like to speak with someone that has built a guidesman, the module has a positive and negative lead (obviously) and i need to know where to solder the wires, what solder to use, etc. the module has leads from the diode pins aswell.
also what kind of batteries would a guidesman take thats appropriate for a 1.5w laser?
EDIT: i put the module inside the heatsink and there is no room for the driver

If you could post some pictures of your problems that may help.
Also, I love the guidsman host but it may take some tweeking to make it all work with rhd's mosquito module.
Here is my build with the older host. the heatsinking idea comes from DTR. The diode your using is case negative, I use rosin core solder, and found also that the host fits a 22600 battery perfectly.
Hope some of this may help:beer:

ill post pics tomorrow if i can figure out how :p
i did find DTR's tutorial, but i feel like i would need more detail :p
it seems my host is slightly different than his aswell.

On that driver, IF the case pin is connected to the LD-
and
the negative is continuous in the driver,

then you can disregard the black wire coming out the back and just hook up the red wire to your side switch contact or Battery + contact.
