hello everyone!
i decided to join this forum after reading a bunch of threads over the past few weeks... i am primarily a flashlight guy (some of you may know me from CPF, BLF, & FNF flashlight forums)
i am thinking i might get into a bit of DIY modding as i have enjoyed building a half a dozen or so led mag lites... i am comfortable soldering and know my basics when it comes to electronics, but i am looking to learn more about lasers...
obviously with lasers my main concern is SAFETY SAFETY SAFETY. just stumbling around here i have come across some build kits that advertise >1W which to my understanding can insta-blind you pretty easily... (even a reflection)... so i will be reading up on that... ill probably just do a simple low power mod to start off with
the only member here i recognize so far is jayrob - he built me a xml maglite last summer which i love... looks like he offers some other awesome goodies here too!
anyway - enough blabber from me! :na:
