Green laser recommendation...cheap

I didnt think that I would say this but I actually like my dx 30 and I think its a great buy for those who don't want to spend alot of money. I can smoke soft leather and make small  marks in it and burn through plastic bags, pop baloons....

Im going to try light a match with a back mark on, I dont think it will work...

Maybe I was lucky and got a really good one or thats just normal. Maybe alot of IR that makes it a good burner?

I have to agree.  The DX30 is nearly as strong as my AtlasNova 40mW and for $26, you can't beat that.  It's a bit less stable than the AN, but then again, AN is tough to beat for stability in the pen-sized laser market.

My DX30 smokes leather on the initial peak.  I haven't really tried balloon popping but I bet it could eat up sharpied balloons. I've also noticed it has a slightly thinner beam at aperture than the AN.

What about off a white wall? This thing would have to be very close to pop a balloon, right?

It actually BURNS THROUGH BLACK PAINTED RED TAPE!
...from a short distance and it does it pretty fast!
