Green laser 50 mW 532nm problem

So i just got my 50 mW 532nm laser pointer and when i looked a the pictures from the site i bought it it looked like you can see the beam. On my laser i can't see the green beam coming out of the laser but only the green dot :yabbem::yabbem: help please (btw i am new to lasers and this site)
 





Im not a pro, and im pretty new myself.

But my guess is that you bought from a cheap chinese seller, and your laser is nowhere near 50mw.

Also, do u mean in completely lit areas? outside? inside? in darkness?

well, the only greens i have, is a cheap 200 one, wich does, i think about 130-160mw, and an olike that does about 380mw

So im not sure about the following, but i always tought even a 5mw 532nm, would be visible, in darkness..


Tried different batteries yet ?
 
everywhere i look in the internet everyone has the green beam :lasergun:

yes in darkness i can barely see it. i tried different batteries too

On the basis of the description I would say that the pointer emits about 5 mW...
 
Do u have an LPM, im assuming not?

what arayan was saying is, i think u bought a 50mw, but it is probably just a 5mw.

It is not because the sticker sais, <50m, that its 50mw, after all, 5mw IS <50mw
 
honestly that picture looks like a 5mw, and that should still be enough to see a beam in a dark room or just outside at night
i mean that sucks you were scammed, but you should do some research b4 buying anything, instead of buying something then having to find out what happened on the forums
