Decided to pull my DX True 30mw by NEWWISH apart today and here are some pics. Basically by breaking the glue around the crystal and moving it about I was able to get a very strong green beam, when I found the sweet spot I left it on and turned around to get some glue. Needless to say it stopped working no matter which way I move the crystal no green. The IR seems to be working fine because I can see a faint red glow (I can also see this on TV remotes don't ask me why) so i'm not sure if the problem is the diode is not putting out enough power to get the KTP crystal going or if somehow the actual crystal went caput.

Here are some pictures for your enjoyment. If anyone would care to give labels to the pictures i'll add them.

Well TV remote LEDs are NIR to , so it makes sense. But maybe you're diode is dead, in the LED stage you know....OR
the diode is not putting out enough power to get the KTP crystal going
Maybe that's yur problem.The KTP likes 1064nm not 808nm. :D

That's actually more impressive in pieces!!!
I'm now on my second unit -I must add that they were kind enough to replace the first broken one with a brand new working laser- and now that one is also flickering. I'll stick with Nova.

Try using a different browser. :-/[/quote]

weird... I'm using firefox 3 beta (RC2) and it didn't work, but with regular internet explorer it did. Go figure.

Cool pics!

Do you have any pictures of the host disassembled? I am trying to figure out if it would work for a DR Lava BluRay host. Thanks!
