I woke up this morning to find Google has now added a new feature, The google everything side bar:scowl:
They did this a few months ago, I was randomly selected as a test subject. It was a easy fix to get rid of of the crappy side bar, by deleting a cookie google impregnated my browser with.
Now as of today they are rolling it out as a official part of the google experience.
Their is no cookie installed and their is no option to disable it. As of now the only way to get rid of it is by installing a script or a plugin for firefox or opera.
Or you can go to your google search preferences and choose one of the more obscure languages that have not been ruined yet. I'm using pirate as my language.
Has any body noticed this yet? What do you think about it?
I personally hate it. I'm shocked that they did not make this new feature as a optional choice
I always admired google for having a clean and clutter free search page, full of well picked search results.
If I wanted my screen cluttered with extra crap that I didn't need, I would use bing.
