Hey guys. I know this isn't a laser related thing but.

Trying to sell this card I got to hopefully upgrade to a better one. Cobbling together a gaming PC is fun.

Took it off of ebay, realized eBay fees would have screwed me over. I'm asking $165 for the card including shipping.

If you do wish to buy it and you're a noteable person on these forums send me a PM and I'll take it off ebay to avoid the fees that are associated with it.

Thanks for looking.

Wow nice price! I hope it sells fast. Just out of curiosity, what will your new card be?

Re: Visiontek R9 280X for sale.

It had actually sold earlier this morning, but I took it down because I realized the fees would have made me lose more money than I intended.

This card's performance sits right between a gtx 960 and 970 but costs less than a 960.

If anyone is interested please send a PM.

Thanks!!

Re: Visiontek R9 280X for sale.

I would try getting your hands on a 970 instead. 2gb of vram is really not enough these days. Hell, even 4gb is only good for another year and a half maybe.

Re: Visiontek R9 280X for sale.

Gonna be playing exclusively at 1080p, so I don't think I'll necessarily need the extra memory. Plus the 780 gives the same performance for about $70-80 less.

Playing demanding games at high settings starts at about 2gb vram these days, and that's at 1080p. Your choice tho.

Re: Visiontek R9 280X for sale.

.. I just looked it up, and the 780 I'm trying to nab has 3 GB GDDR5, so. I'm sure it'll be good for me for a while.

Just need to sell this dang card I have. :<

Re: Visiontek R9 280X for sale.

Found a benchmark of r9 280x crossfire vs 780 ti. Pretty interesting.

GeForce GTX 780 Ti vs. Radeon R9 280X CrossFire - Graphics cards > Versus - Reviews - ocaholic

The downside is possible compatibility issues with crossfire, but if you have the power supply to handle both 280x cards, the price point would be around the same depending on how much you can get a 2nd 280x for.

Additionally, a 280x will crossfire with a 7970 since they are essentially the same card, and could save some money as well.

Good luck with your sale!

Re: Visiontek R9 280X for sale.

Always go with a single card unless you can go for two flagship cards. Reason for this is frequent stuttering issues in many games when going crossfire or SLI.

Keep in mind also that this card isn't the TI version, it's just the plain ol' 780.

Indeed, sold it to an LPF member. And with someone else, bought a GTX 970 for $200. 8)
