Gdrive Sales,Disccussion and feedback thread!

hey there!

are you still taking orders for drivers. Im looking for a 1A boost drive to drive 405nm diodes about 5Vf. I would be looking to buy 2 and also 2 battery contact boards. Thanks.

Yes and thank you very much for considering me! The contact boards had a problem at customs but I paid the 111 euro import fees and I hope to get them soon. I estimate a time for your order, given how I must also wait for them to arrive I estimate about a 4 or 5 day ETA, Considering also that I assemble each board per order, What currents would you like them set at?

Hey there G,

I'd like 1 set to 1A and the other set to 800ma please. PM me your info and i'll send payment ASAP and give you shipping info.

Hi there, I will sadly have to inform you that the drivers(thread updated, please check the update) Will experience difficulties reaching 1A if not with the top of the line batteries and a full charge hence I am changing their rating to 800mA. Sorry if that caused any issues.

no problem both can be set to 800ma. thats not a problem. thanks for the update. also i think using high drain 18650 used in vape mods should be fine as those can deliver 30A bursts and over 10A sustained.

Update: New stock of Contact boards, 900 left. And will soon be announcing a lower cost more budget-friendly version of my 3A buck with a tad less testing (No oscilloscope waveforms, just current setting) and a bit worse ripple and noise specs but it will meet 18 euro, 20$ price mark, By reducing the output capacitance and going with JLCPCB but the parts will be the same as the normal 3A buck! No cheapo chiniseum caps here only TDK caps Panasonic inductors and Walter elec resistors!

Update update: I will have a limited stock of 45 soon built of my 3A buck driver, All new smaller PCB with the same capabilities the same price but 4 layers instead of 2! What does that translate to in the real world? Simple! More thermal mass eliminating the need for an external heatsink even at high currents for sub-30s duty cycles, Buffing up of the output trace across all 4 of those layers to minimize its resistance and maximize efficiency on that node and giving the best ground return path possible with the 2 internal ground planes!. What's even better? Price Will stay the same as always!!

Also, I am pleased to announce a new prototype that I will be developing! It's a 1A capable buck-boost driver that can take external potentiometers for adjusting current on the fly up to a max setpoint!
