It looks military to me, hence the weird guesses. Looks like the right side opens up too. Hmmm. I'm about out of ideas.

Ok, a little help: Was portable but I needed to connect to a source of 220 volts, and yes, is a military device :yh:

Edit: And yes, right side opens too, and was used in World War II, think then that could be used to seeing talked of the 1940 aprox.
