Hey, all so I was just looking around for materials to use for a diode module and came accross an interesting realization. A lot of companies charge insane prices for C101 copper tubing, and I realized that there is a magical place that does a lot of the work for us. Soooo, for 20 dollars I purchased 1 oz .999 Silver .45 bullet from a bullion. The dimensions should be around 11.5 mm so I figured it was worth a shot.

Copper is too expensive, so you bought silver which is priced literally ~90 times higher. You think this is funny.

Not only that but at best silver has only marginally improved thermal conductivity over copper.

A complete copper module from DTR, with a basic lens, is only $9. No machining required.
