FS: RPL-300

Just a little update.

I'm probably still going to sell this. That's what I bought it for after all.

If I can't get the RPL-400 back to me I'll just sell that too. That means no RPL for me, but that means I'll just be sticking to lab lasers from now on, as it's legal to own those. Where as portables aren't. Having to send back the RPL-400 for repairs did muck up my plans, but that doesn't mean it has to affect other plans :)

So $800 AUD or $780 USD + shipping price still stands. And I'll also include a tripod I got from DX, it's a nice tripod and carries the RPL well :)

Know what, I don't think I'm going to sell this :)

I've grown quite attached to it. Plus, the output on this thing is quite erratic. It can average anywhere between 200 and 320mW. Doesn't bother me, since I just use it for shining, but it wouldn't be fair to the buyer.

And this way I don't have to worry about customs for my RPL-400 :) So instead I'll be selling the RPL-400 after it gets repaired.

Actually, that RPL-400 will be a nice deal. It'll just of come back from repairs, so it'll in top condition, it's only had a week or so of actual use anyway. It may even come with a warranty. And also, it'll ship straight from Optotronics, Jack's agreed to stick it in the Optotronics discount bin when it's ready :)

Mmmm, it looks to be "it's a long way to go..." :).  Jack has not jet received the RPL 400 for repair, so everything about this baby is an open point for now.... I'll be present on these pages for future evolutions... ::)

The manufacturer won't be doing any repairs during the olympics. It'll be months before this thing is ready.

Which is kind of annoying, because I wouldn't mind some more money at the moment, and there's over $1000 worth that I can't touch for ages :-/

If you dont sell your 300 I'll take it for free.

8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

(My awesomely lame humour never fails me)

anyone else think demand for high powered portable greens is dropping?
i mean not many people are willing to pay for proven quality lasers anymore -
it seems people would rather gamble and buy a DX200 or a KD 200, until they realise the flaws and eventually upgrade to a novalaser.
i remember few months back i was in need of cash and put up my RPL-400 for sale for a steal price of under $900 and it didnt attract any buyers until the last day (which was when my situation was resolved and kept the laser).
$800 for an RPL-300 is a good price but others may not see it like that.
me personally i would pay the extra $200 and just buy it brand spanking.
if selling this laser is your only option, you may have to make a little loss and just try lower the asking price to boost the sale.

Speaking of batteries Jack. When are you going to have the "dank" batteries again from the factory that burned down.
