I have had this laser for about a year and a half. it has served me well. i am selling it because i like 462nm color better and i need the money. This laser is perfect for long run experiments. i ran this laser for 8 minutes straight with almost no drop in power. practically a flat line with a slight slant down. I posted below my 6 min lpm graph which is about as good as it gets. i wish i did the graph for the 8 min test but all well. I put the 3 element lens in because i feel like this lower power diode would be better suited for its tighter beam. leave the burning to the higher power diodes but i have to say this laser still burns like a boss when focused. and with up to an 8 minute run time it could burn longer then the higher power lasers. the best part about this laser is it uses 2 26650 batteries. even though i have had this laser for as long as i did iv only had to charge the batteries about 6 times. and each time they were only down to 3.8 volts so the batteries last forever. yes its big but you really dont need to worry about overheating. i would say 8 min max at a time but only if the air temp is cool. when i did the 8 min test the air temp was 65 degrees. when i shut off the laser it was just barley warm. i would just stick to 4-6 min for normal use. i put on quality custom stickers bought from a guy on this forum(i dont remember his name). Tmack heatsinked the driver to the body to get the longer run times. i will include a tiny magnet to act as a button top because the positive contact is recessed as seen in the photo below. that plus the pvc around it acts as a physical reverse polarity protection which is nice to have. if you have button tops just use them but this way works great. single element lens gets over 2W btw.
I payed $270 for this laser with the batteries. It has about 100 hours runtime on the diode i would guess. iv had it awhile but have not used it much. still runs like the day i got it. Tmacks lasers are truly top quality
Sale price is $180 now $175
Now a biblical price drop to $150 SHIPPED WITHIN THE USA for the laser and both 26650 batteries. I will ship anywhere but if your outside the united states im not responsible if seized. PM me for international shipping
