I definitely recommend the the Nexus 1. I have very minor connection issues, but it usually finds the signal again after a few seconds. I think most of my conncetion problems are more issues with T-Mobile's spotty coverage in Tucson. I would root mine, but I want to wait until the warranty is up since it is damn near $600. You will like the Nexus spyro. Great phone.

I do like my nexus 
Its the best phone ever made, period. Worth every penny.
I only get edge speeds here in canada though, because we dont have any carriers using the tmobile aws spectrum right now im my area. I don't miss 3g at all.
