Hi guys!
I'm going to be selling off the extra ~490nm diodes I have coming from Paul. A few people have come to me already about these diodes, and I have marked them down as reserved on the diodes they wanted...
Of the unspoken diodes from the first 20, 9 remain (and 5 more will be added once the results are in):
#...WL....mA
2 487.4 70
4 490.3 120
6 490.7 80
9 490 95
10 490.2 100
15 489.3 120
16 489.5 150
18 488.2 80
19 489.9 90
20 489.5 110
23 490.3 110
24 491.5 120
25 489.6 130
Now... I will do my best to honor requests for wavelength as these are being sold as binned diodes. But just remember two things:
-This is first come first serve.
-I can't guarantee anything on the 5 unmeasured diodes until they are measured. That includes whether or not they die during testing unexpectedly. It has happened with the 480's, so I feel it's necessary to say, no matter how small a chance it may be.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Asking:
$90 + shipping on diode #2 (487.4 @70) and #18 (488.2 @80mA)
OR
$60 + shipping on the rest (>489nm)
US shipping - 2-day priority flat rate from USPS, +$7.25
International - Varies by country, I can give you an estimate asap and an exact answer on Saturday (April 14th). Typically I see anything from $10 - $30, depending on location, insurance, & tracking.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To those buying from the USA, good news! Paul and I have worked out a way that he will ship them straight to you, so there won't be as much of a wait as having them go back to me and having me package them.
However -- internationally, I'll be sending them out once I get them back from Paul. (I get an employee discount... cheaper shipping... + more importantly I don't want to ask Paul to go through the customs forms hassle)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For anyone interested in a color comparison... I will be building mine as soon as they arrive and do a comparison between these wavelengths:
520nm
502nm
495nm
492nm
488nm (argon)
487nm
485nm
480nm
472nm
450nm
As my camera is very capable of telling the subtle difference between them. Stay tuned!
Guess I should go and order some new batteries...
