High all I have For sale 2 sets of laser diodes from a 16X DVD burner.
Each Set includes 1 red and 1 IR diode.
Asking 15.50$ shipped for EACH set, Plus paypal fee.

I am running one at 300ma no problems at all.

They are harvested from 16X drives. But still a Great deal compared to others

sk8er: I don't think 300mA is too high for a 16x. I'm also curious about the output at that current. It should be over 200mw though, if I'm not seriously mistaken.

Whats the power and wavelength of that lil IR diode, and what current shall you use for it? It would be nice to have a cheapy IR laser that could burn a little bit.

300mA is high for some 16x diodes, but we do push SenKat's new 16x diodes to over 400mA without problem.

That IR diode has a wavelength of around 780nm and a power around 60mW-80mW. 100mA is about the max you want to push that to without dying, people have pushed them much higher though.

I run most of my diodes at 300ma, Senkats old ones, some Rohms, and some 12X burners also.
