A while ago I was playing Populous: The Beginning with 2007Revolution, Steve84 and Chezumss and at the end _2007Revolution suggested I make a thread about it, to see if anyone else would like to play.
It's a God-sim so you convert followers, get them to build a settlement for you and increase your numbers (in turn increasing your strength), train the followers so that you have an army under your control and then unleash a devastating force upon your enemies using a combination of your army and a huge armoury of devastating spells.
Populous: Reincarnated - Files - You'll need to download the main game from towards the bottom of that list. You may also need to download the resolution changer. You may also want to download the Displacements Patch or the World Editor, but I didn't bother.
Next, try it out, see if it works and whether you like it. Bare in mind that multiplayer is very different from the single-player, the levels at the beginning are slow to progress through when you have only a small armoury of spells but in the multiplayer you'll be supplied with more power than you know what to do with.
If you decide you want to play with us, download the Matchmaker from the top of the download list. While you wait for it to download, create an account at Populous: Reincarnated - Home - and post your username in here. Finally, PM me or 2007Revolution here on LPF letting me know you're in and we'll try & sort out a time.
At the moment, of the four of us, Steve is the only one able to host matches as hosting matches requires a Static IP. We can see how this progresses and maybe this is something we could take further (making maps or mods, setting up a clan or other joyously nerdy things).
