Personally - I think that if you have just enough to cover your bills, and buy a few little extra things here and there, you are going to be most happy... but to be "rich"... from what I have seen - it's not all it's cracked up to be. In all honesty - if I ever 'hit the lottery' - I'd take the lunp sum, pay off any bills/student loans, and then divvy up the cash between family and friends. A 'little windfall' into a lot of hands results in more happyness overall, where one large windfall of cash into one person's life can have quite the opposite effect. I would not want to have a million in the bank though - seriously... not only do YOU change with that kind of money - but everyone around you seems to change as well.

As for the laser... I wanted it so bad, but the wife said "I don't think so." and well - the married guys know... "If mama ain't happy - ain't nobody happy."
Perhaps the next 'high potency green' that comes along will be a little less potent, and a little cheaper so that the wifey will say "Fine, whatever." ;D
No you don't. Most "rich" people I know are miserable. Money really seems to complicates things. I know it is easy to say that, but I have watched it happen to 3 close friends now... they went from 'middle class happy people' to 'medium-rich [we are talking a net worth of 5 million or less, not billionaire or anything too insane like that] neurotic people.'LazerGuy said:

Yea, your'e definitley right, money does actually complicate things. I've seen it happen with several preople as well. I don't want to be rich in that way, just have a little more money so that I can priority my laser addiction a little bit more. ;D Although I really DON'T want to be so rich so that I can easily buy all lasers available. IMO it's not good to just get everything for almost free, you have to fight a little for it. Then, as you say V1.15, you will be more happy. It is such a nice feeling when it's like this "oh yeah, finally I can buy that laser I wish to have so much, great!
" It's not a that good feeling when you can just get everything you want, at least not according to me. You will simply not be that happy with loads of money. That is the same reason you are proud of a laser you've built yourself, because you have been working on it, not just got everything finished for free, without having to work on it.
So I completely agree with you, and I should perhaps in my previous post instead have said "I wish I had a little more money so that I could buy such an expensive laser with good confidence." I really do wish that. Or perhaps I should simply have said "I wish lasers would have been a lil cheaper" instead. ;D
