Focussing many diodes

well DTR sells a box of knife edging mirrors for cheap, i bought a box. the problem is its not an option to make a rifle...
 





Eh the rifle is sort of a joke. I just felt like drawing it. I just wanna focus a bunch of beams into one beam. Massive red laser. Or blue. I really need to make a 445.
 
haha well maybe, but i have been thinking about it. for military use. a Nd flash pump can easily do alot of damage itself. but an array...now if only i had won that lotto drawing..haha
 
Yeah, like that pulse laser gun that I saw on here once. Imagine like fifteen of those, each firing a megawatt pulse, all focused onto one point. Fifteen megawatts onto a point.
 
shine a bunch of lasers at one point? easy. combine them into one monochromatic gaussian beam? I'm gonna say impossible or physically impossible.
 
Well strictly sneaking for diodes I had an idea, with flash cavities, it would just be getting them close enough together.

So I think op posted something about a cylinder, well what if a coated cylinder was used, maybe shooting....ah new idea. Screw focusing all the diodes, why not make a holder for all the diodes, decanned and just raw light spraying into the cavity, and then focused down. Then its essentially a multimode multi diode cavity.

Maybe that's what was done with that two diode host that puts out like 3W?

The 3w two diode build combined two 9mm 445nm diodes. Building a laser rifle sounds great and all, but hopefully you have a good friend that will follow behind you carrying the battery pack, cuz it's gonna look like this:

Seems like a read on here somewhere that you can only combine once or twice, because of the beam polarization, maybe?

Either way, an array of laser diodes could be focused to a single point
 
Well you can use high discharge Lipo batteries =P

My rc car under acceleration discharges around 8-900 watts from the main battery.
