sorry about the pics lasers, ill take a better one with my ACTUAL camera, i used a 1999 webcam so yeah

anyways, you got any idea how to test this driver out

i have a multimeter but no test load driver

i was wondering how i would measure the output of the driver with my DMM

do i connect the batteries and then place my DMM and set it to mA and touch the end of the driver where the diode is suppose to go?

Good video... I just don't agree with not cutting the leads after soldering..

All hand assembled PCBs that Iv'e seen assembled in the over 20 years I've
been in the business... have the part leads soldered then cut.
Of course the proper tool is required... (a Flush Cut Side cutter)
and care must be taken to flush cut at a certain height off the PBC.

If a board is wave soldered... then the leads are machine cut (very close)
before soldering. ;)

Not my vid though. ;) I suppose he put that in there in case people didn't use the proper tools.

when i opened one of them and connected it to my comp

turned it on, dvd starrted up

then a red light from the diode out scattered out for a bit and i was blinded for like 2 seconds

LAWL so yeah i think the laser inside works
