First post: considering building a custom torch advice needed

Hey guys, I was about to start building a custom flashlight (well a prototype) as I cannot find a torch with the features I need. If you know of something similar PLEASE let me know it could save me a lot of time

Features:
Aluminum body (in two sections so the battery can "float between double spring terminals) with Double o ring seals (Len's and circuitry will all float on rubber mounts)
Rechargeable high capacity battery battery

A focusing setup controlled by rotating not the usual push pull method

Switch override port for extended control switch when mounted

Dual wavelength LEDs operating separatly- infrared and bright white leds (infrared and visable light are both nessicary however I believe 4-6 infrared LEDs will be sufficient

And I had considered adding a laser diode but I think this is a waste of space and will cause temperature issues.

Apolagies I'm no specialist with electronics.
Are the square type LEDs known by a different name? (Other than "square" or wattage)

Contact Ehgemus... he build laser host so i think he can build flashlight as well...
How much capacity you need? and what is the current draw from the leds? vital information...
Battery: contact LarryDFW....
Driver: Lazeerer.
Laser Diodes: DTR laser shop..
Leds: i don't know...
where are you from?
the laser diodes won't generate much heat compare to the Leds.....

the flashlight Dimesion?? diameter/length.....

How do I contact people?

Currently everything is hypothetical except the dimensions.

As far as light:visible is to function as a short midrange spot and adjust to a wider beam.
Infrared is something I've never built with befre so I don't know what draw they will use.

Capacity... Lol as big as I can fit.
Depends in final lighting arangement as to how long it will last.

Do you know anyone with good experience with custom builds I could talk to?

I need to test some LEDs And batteries calculate a how many LEDs I need and how long it will last.
Should I contact that guy you mentioned or are you up for the challenge? Still considering adding a laser... And how would you source the shell. I can get the materials but my lathe is in storage...
And the design in mind is pretty specific to the mounts

I'm in central NSW but I travel regularly.

i'm up for the challenge...
just send me a picture of the shell drawing and measurement.
tell me how bright you want the leds to be and what wavelength is the IR led.
what color do you want the laser to be? Red,Green,Blue,Violet,Yellow,Orange?
the highest capacity battery is 5000mah.....
then i'll get all the parts and build it for you....

I would Highly recommend Ehgemus and others here for a source for parts as well. I have purchased from many members here as a parts source. Once I decide to go the route of DIY Torch, mine will have to be a dual purpose torch/lightsaber from The Custom Saber Shop as a host.
