After several months of wanting and waiting, I now own a green laser!!
it just came in today, after 7days to Australia (thats not too shabby)
X-65 putting out 78.2mW average, topping off at 91.9mW
this thing is positively sexy!!

WOO PUMPED!!!!

its 1:30 right now so its as sunny as its gna get today -.-
cant wait for nightfall!! WOO!

unfortunately i didnt get the box or the lens set or any goggles BUT i WILL get them.. i needed the money for schoolies week
great way to celebrate the end of high school imo ;)

thankyou NOVA!!! i will be back hehe

Sounds like you got a great laser! (Just as every nova laser seems to be!)

As usual be sure to throw in some pictures for us, and let us know some experiments that you come up with. ;D

Nice and great specs too.. :) Congratulations...enjoy and when night falls you will be amazed.. :D

sure thing guys! ill have to figure out how to work our camera, but i have 4 months before i start uni so ill work it out by then ;)

ill try to light some matches. i got one to smoke a bit, but i figured its really hard if ur not looking at what ur doing, so i might wait till i get some goggles because i dont believe its safe just to look at it from less than 2 feet aye?

this thing is amazing .. i could see the dot a couple hundred metres away in sunlight!

pics coming soon :)

Oooo man NOVA never fails to deliver. Great laser you got there and pics pics pics.

okay! now i have some questions...

lighting matches takes a while, sometimes up to 20 seconds without the collminating lens.
is that due to the voltage of the rechargables and/or cheap matches? (they are pretty cheap lol)

and also, it started mode hopping a bit. im not familiar with the different types but the circles were just touching each other. i think it was because of flat batteries because they died about 20 mins after. after putting new eneloops in i havnt had any problems so far (both pairs of eneloops are used with their pre-charge, straight from the packet).
is that normal? i have a feeling it isnt. i dont think its worth RMAing (at the moment). agree?

Is it just me or does the 1st beam picture has 2 beams? The other one is barely noticable, but it's there.

Great laser you've got there! And yeah NOVA's customer service is really awesome.

And these lasers love eneloops.. ;D Nice laser you have there.. ;)

ohh another great laser from nova! the extra light on the table is normal ;) great pics too!not sure about the mode hopping though, it could be the batteries running low?

yeah i think it was the batteries running low, but, the next few times my batts went low there wasnt any mode hopping. just kept getting dimmer and dimmer. hmm strange :-? well if its a one off thing (which i hope it is) then its all good :)

im planning to get a hulk or a ppl for my next laser. those things are beasty!
will be a while though
