Eye Toy IR FILTER?

I recall some onesyaing they took an eye toy apart and found an IR filter in it.
I striped down the eyetoy to this little peice. Is it somewhere in there?

Doesn't look like it is. The filter looks like a small piece of blue/green glass. I've read that if you look through your old photo negatives for some over exposed film that should work as an ir filter.

that will not work as an IR filter. In a webcam it is used to filter out all visible light BUT THE IR. You probably won't see the IR filter unless you start tearing it apart further. That is just the colimating lens and has nothing whatsoever to do with filtering IR. I'd just leave it be.
