Extension cable for JDSU remote?

I feel dumb for asking this but I'm having a major brain fart here. I purchased my first (ML!) Argon from daguin and a remote off flebay for it. I know you can connect the remote directly to the PSU but I'd like to get a cable so if the PSU is on the floor I can adjust the settings without having to get down on my hands and knees. I know I need a DB25 M->F cable with straight trough connection (i.e pin 1 on one end connects to pin 1 on the other) but I cant remember what type of cable that'd be. I think both SCSI and Parallel would fit the requirement but it's been so long since I used either I can't remember.

There was somebody on LPF that posted a picture of their PSU on the floor and remote on a table next to the head which is what I'm thinking of doing if the umbilical is long enough. Wish I could find that pic again so I could just ask them.

Doh. LOL. Why didn't I think of that.

An extension cable would have to have a 1:1 pinout to not mess with the original cable. A lot easier than digging though my bins of old parts looking for an SCSI cable and testing continuity!

:thanks: for the suggestion.

All the DB25 cables I've ever bought have all just been straight through, not crosswired. Shouldn't be much of a problem.

I have one somewhere that's a null modem cable, but it says NULL right on the connectors. The vast majority that you find will be straight through. DB25 straight through cables were used mostly for RS232 serial ports back in the PC/XT era prior to the AT (286) switch to the 9 pin port but they have found countless other uses over the years.
