Eurolite LAS-7 upgrade

got this little neat spirograph for €13 from a friend. It has manual, sound active and automatic modes but there was still one thing missing: some good laser. The original LD was just 5mW, so I decided to put LPC-815 inside :eg: I also ordered 30mW module from DX so I'll put that in when it arrives

little LPC "labby" I put together, DDL driver running @ 350mA, the diode and LM317 have common heatsink (LM317 is isolated)

first testing, laser is connected directly to power input (12V wall psu) and LM317 is heating pretty fast

final version: laser connected after internal voltage regulator (7806). It was heating up so I put a small heatsink on it, it's better now. I also put a fan over the holes on the top, so the laser is being cooled now

now I have nice small sound-controlled spiro

bump... I replaced the 300mW red with DX 50mW green module

Thats cool. Not bad for the Price. Are you going to put the Red back in as well.?

It would be cool if you can combine the 2 But iam sure that would be kinda difficult the way the inside is set up.

well I could put there some RGY optics (aka PHR mirror), but there's very small room inside and another laser probably won't fit there very well. but I'll think about it

Am facut si eu un astfel de tuning la laserul meu,cu un laser de 50 mW zic eu, deoarece pe laser pointer scrie 200mw, dar n-am cu ce masura puterea acestuia. El consuma cu driver 350 mA, acum voi puteti sa-mi spuneti puterea lui reala.

I did such a tuning on my laser, with a 50 mW laser I say, because the laser pointer 200mW write, but what I did as its power. It consumes 350 mA driver, now you can tell me his real power.
