NUBM07 ... Maybe my favorite "high output" diode!! @3.5A iirc...so that's around 466nm, I think.

You should try NUBM07 @4.5A, it really make a difference

I've gone to 4.0A, but was scared to hurt this precious diode (when I built my 1st one). I've been contemplating what to build next; I think you just "opened my eyes" to today's task!!

So peaceful! I love that we are shooting the same(ish) beams at these orbiting rocks from different parts of the Earth. Wonder if anyone out there is able to identify the NUBM07 from their viewpoint

I updated my last post w/pics (1054) of some NUBM07s side-by-side. With my eyes, I'm wondering if I did put a 4A or 4.5A driver in my 1st pointer :thinking: The colors were close. Adjusting some aperture/exposures I was able to see a slight difference in color. I do think the 2nd one (on right) looks a bit brighter, by looking at the beam closely it looks a tad more over-exposed. Anyway - I won't clutter this thread with more of the same boring shots - I'll get out in the woods hopefully soon and share some better stuff

I find that the best nature photos, IMO, are when there is a hint (or more) of ambient light in the scene; which is exactly what most of your pics tend to include.

I have found if you spread your reps over the day, you'll get more than just repping people until you run out. I have been able to rep some people twice in two days.
