Nice shots again Arctic! Here's a random one. It's been posted before somewhere but hey I figure the more the merrier. My 1.3W 520nm firing out of Glastonbury Tor in England.

:D

Nice shot Aardvark777!!
Looking forward to see more of them! ;)

We have severe snow storm over here atm, so I can't go outside.. Forecast is 20cm more snow for today... I was a bit bored and I turned my spotting scope to 100X Beam Expander
Here's a test shot :p

100X BE? If so,

:D

Yes a bit OTT, but since when do we not like OTT. :p

You have a 100X BE? That is over the top. How large is the output lens?

Output lens is 145mm and scope lenght is aprox 50cm
Here is picture of that scope >>.
I bought it from local flea market just for 30EUR, so if I ruin it, it's not big loss.

Yes,
beam expanders are telescopes. This is narrow DPSS 532nm beam expanded to approx 120mm :p

I love telescopes Tero !!!
hahahaha, awesome B.E mate.
Love the colours in that shot, the blues and greens go well together.
20cm of snow???
brrrrr, I get cold when it goes down to +14°C, hahahaha.

Oh, so it was made to BE a telescope and not a beam expander. I understand that they are one in the same, but using a telescope to expand your beam by 100X might not work as well as a BE made to expand it by 10X. I see you used it with a DPSS 532nm laser with good beam specs. So, the input beam was 1.2mm if it was expanded to 120mm.

Some daytime beamshots.. 4W of Blue tend to overexposed, it was really difficult to find right settings for capturing it.
-And unfortunately no RGB shots today, it's still dismantled since I tested controller V2 for grainde..

Beautiful beam shots, Tero! It’s so cool to see bright colors before arctic sundown. I do miss Downunder Inverted Orion a little, though. LOLOL. :D Great job! Please Take Care.

Thanks CD, hopefully this fog remains till evening so I could take some mirror beam bounces ;)

I see what you mean about the overexposure of the blue laser, Tero. Looks like that stream is running even though it has got to be below freezing there. Don't know if it's your camera, but the wavelength of the blue looks to be 465nm or higher. I'm still out of reps, so I owe you. :D

Few more daytime beamshots from today... Upper stream is still partially coverd by ice & snow.. Moisture & Fog was intense :p

Nice pics Tero. Those images have quite a mystical feel to them. Almost out of this world. :)

Great photos, Tero. I always enjoy your beam shots done in your surroundings. Glad, also, I can watch them from the comfort of my recliner.
