The threads on my Lucent Optics EnVee (CNI PGL-III-A) are kinda gritty and it's causing problems. I've cleansed the threads but there is a sharp edge somewhere that is grinding down the aluminum. Every time I screw it on I feel a gritty resistance and if I push through it grinds off more aluminum. I can see it when I wipe the threads down with a paper towel. I have the same annoying issue with a few of my flashlights too.
So has anyone ever tried using electrically conductive grease? Is it 100% (0 ohms) conductive? I found this stuff but it's kinda expensive. :undecided:
