Oh wow. My phr hurts, but not instantly. But certainly more than my red or green. My IR doEsn't even sting. I need a high power violet. ^^
 





The violets are usually in need of focus adapters once you go past 300mws..
 
Oh okay. I always just thought they were for looks and ease of use, not safety=p Thats good to know, thanks for the info.
