Wikipedia says 532nm DPSS is between 20%-35% efficient and that 200mW of IR would be needed to get 40mW of 532nm. BUT not all of that IR is going to leak out, if it did then no 532nm would be seen at all (I presume).
Based on the two 532nm's I have without filters, there doesn't seem to be any relationship between the 532nm output power and the IR output power (other than the IR is higher than the 532nm in my case); eg 6mW of 532nm + 10mW of IR, 13mW of 532nm + 34mW of IR.
