Eagle Pair has discontinued the popular OD4+ 190-540nm slip over goggles and has replaced them with an OD6+ version. These will provide an extra level of protection for those high power builds!

The standard 190-540nm goggles are still OD4+ for now, but apparently they will soon be offered in an OD6+ version as well and Eagle Pair has indicated that they may discontinue the OD4+ model at some point in the future.

The new OD6+ slip over goggles are in stock and available now on the Survival Laser stores.

Thanks RB, you almost cleaned us out! We have another shipment on the way that should be here in a few days.

Visually they are a little bit darker than the original. I'm waiting to receive a new OD vs. wavelength chart from EP.

Thanks Gary, thought I'd get in early, getting some more '1mW' lasers coming in soon.

Great addition to the Eagle pair selection.
The extra measure of protection is perfect for the very high power 445nm laser available--- Nice.

a noobie question... is the gogle plastic or glass?
(there's no point having goggle that going to melt)

The lens material is plastic and the protective material is embedded in the lens, not a coating. The lenses will not be damaged by a brief exposure to laser light. ;)

My order arrived today, thanks Gary.
Four pairs of OD6+ goggles, how cool is that !
Protects me from all those 1mW lasers I've got.

:D

I bought a pair of these and some aw batteries. I have some rather powerful lasers coming and don't quite trust my old pair of laser goggles anymore.

Thanks guys! BTW, AW brand 14500 batteries (Li-ion and IMR) are on order and should be available soon. :)

i had a pair of Eagle Pair OD 4 and i unfortunately lost them a while ago. I have been using a cheap none brand pair to use with my 1.4w 520nm laser but i have not done any burning as i dont trust them close up. I can see green light with the glasses on. i would say about 5 mw is getting through if i shine it onto the glasses. my question is with these 6 OD goggles how much of the dot will i see for burning? I dont want it to go away completely.
