I can't order a 20mw Green laser pointer into the US,
But I can order 1000mw IR laser diode as an OEM component?

That would only be true if DX sold 1000mW ir laser diodes.
The only places that paypal really cracks down on lasers is Ebay and places like DealExtreme.
