DX Rechargeable batteries (and chargers)

I need to buy new AA and AAA NiMh batteries and a charger for them and also CR123A Lithium batteries and their charger. I'm thinking to get them from deal extreme.

Has anyone bought any from deal extreme? Which ones would you recommend? And how do they perform ( in terms of current output.. is enough to power the DX laser's and DIY's, and also how's the battery times)?

I have set of surefire 123's and charger on its way, but it'll probably not arrive for a week or so (just shipped out of hk). I can let you know if it works by then, though my guess is it will.

I've got a few batteries and just got my new charger today from dx.

I'd say get http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.6180 to save any confusion when it comes to charging as it has an lcd instead of guessing.

I cant say which batteries are best because i've not been able to charge the ones i have

Not wanting to buy more dx batteries I somehow orderd http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.6278 (curses to dx and their great prices) and they worked well with my dx lasers (no idea how to tell when charged using the charger they came with) and for measuring current i've no idea how to do it.


I've got http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.619 but it baffles me. If anyone reading this knows how to work this multimter and wants to walk me through the basics of how to use it for measuring current and anything else i should know i'd appreciate it.

Can't comment on the rechargeable cr123a's as i've not got any from there. They do sell cheap 3v primarys though http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.5639

I have the Rechargeable AA's and AAA's, they suck in high powered devices (like my X105) but they do good in low power devices (I ran a 5mW laser for a full day on a pair of the AA's and I could probably have run it longer too.

A good set of rechargeable nimh batteries will out perform alkaline batteries in high powered devices...
