i got a question, if i order a DX red laser, do i have to worry about IR. because ive heard that
Red Diodes don't emit IR.

you see, there is no "green diode". there is a high powered IR diode, like 500mW, then the IR is passed through a set of crystals, and the wavelength is converted to green. This is called DPSS. it is very inefficient, because you need a HUGE IR diode, like 500mW, and only get like 30mW of green.

now in this process, some IR makes it through, and thats why you need IR filters on green lasers. red lasers, however, are not DPSS, and so there is no big IR diode. its just the red diode. that is why there is no IR from a red.

A diode laser / a true laser emits only one wavelength. (Not true as in DX true, true as in not DPSS)
That's what makes it a laser. (+- a couple nm)
