I have been wondering why there hasn't been anything in the mail for a while...
Turns out DX has been dog f**king and hasn't shipped out the drivers.
Goat bastards!
Looks like the first driver I will get is the 16 mode one :crackup:
I just put another DDL together today, 1 ohm 3 watt resistor, lm350, 100hom pot (dunno why, just habit I guess), a 47f 16v electrolytic cap, a 1f ceramic plate cap, and the good old 1n4004 (cheaper than 400'0-3') for reverse protection all on a 7X7 piece of veroboard.
It was a bit of a pain to wire the jumper on but easy enough to heatsink the 350 now ^_^ It's a little crowded though*
Also made up a variable test load for the >1Amp drivers but I wired the +in on the wrong side of the diodes.... Didn't figure that one out for a few minutes then I got bored and didn't bother fixing it.
Been a productive day overall though, welded up a couple of aluminum fuel tanks for a dune buggy I am building. Pressure tested 'em and threw a coat of princess auto powdercoat over both (spray paint)
Also gave the gf a right sound rogering
that ought to keep her quiet about me being in the shop all day :crackup:
