I finally got my 30mW from DX. When I first push the button it is pretty bright but I can visually watch it fade. After it fades it is not that bright. Happen to anyone else. Lasers don't have a "burn in" do they?

Should I contact DX?

I think that may be it. I have Rayavac in right now and it still fluctuates but is much better. I guess the ones supplied can't supply high demands for long periods of time.

Hopefully that is it, thanks.

You Got to blaim batts 1st

My Laser (same)needs at least .230 amp and that's not enough to light a match, focused.

So I took it apart, for reconsilation. WITHOUT ANESTETIC. ;D ;D ;D

Results ....., just wait!

Well, I put in the brand new batteries and it worked good for about 5 times (around 5 seconds each time) then it faded again.  Does this thing really eat up batteries that much?  Tons of people have this unit and I haven't heard of any problems like I am having.  2 sets of batteries and 1 minute of running time?

I also wanted to mention that I cannot feel any heat of the beam even with the new batteries and the beam is only impressive for <1 sec.

On the Green Lasers page where you posted your topic there is another topic called "Dim DX True 30mw"
