Driving laser to safe limit

Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to drive 55mW GH04850B2G 488nm to safe output power (<5mW), because I would really like to use this laser without goggles?

Thats possible, just measure the output power and adjust the current down.

You can also use a ND filter to reduce the output power.

Reducing isn't the hard part
