Driver bridging please explain

Hi all,
I'm relatively new to building lasers,& so far iv'e killed a few diodes and drivers along the way,but am learning by my mistakes,
Iv'e noticed on some threads that people are mentioning "2nd range bridging"
could anyone please explain what this entails exactly?
if a driver gets bridged does this increase or decrease the power supply?
could this circuit be bridged or modified to increase current supply ?
if it can what would be necessary to boost the current output?

When a driver says to bridge 2 points it means to short them with solder.
This will change the range of the potentiometer adjustment.
For example, range 1 could be 0-500 mah.
Then, range 2 would be 500-1000 mah.
And no, you can't just bridge random spots on random drivers to change the current output. You can only bridge connections of the driver is designed to do so.
