Dreams that move you.

Most of the time when I experience falling in sleep, I do end up waking up. On occasion though, I cracked the concrete and once just fell through into another setting.

Pretty sure that just means I've watched way too many xmen, heroes, mutanx, and other sci fi shows though:tinfoil:

oooo A Canadian! ...babysitting, I take it you're a female:) -ha interesting,

...I wonder if this canadian girl is hott.....:)

Cheers from MSU

LMAO The first time he wrote a brick I thought he was a girl.

The name "shorty", and extreme lengthy posts, I thought for sure it had to be a woman.

I haven't really experienced the moving dream thing, though I've experienced something else that is really weird, which is incorporating real life sounds into your dream.

For example, one morning I was having a dream about something I can't really remember, though I think someone ended up throwing something at me. They missed, and hit a pole behind me. At that EXACT same time the object hit the pole, someone in the kitchen actually dropped and smashed a glass cup, which woke me up.

It has happened many times before also, like having a dream about jumping into water, and someone just happens to be jumping into the pool outside at the same time as I hit the water.

Might just be coincidence, but it's a damn frequent and well suited coincidence!

I've also had the falling off high object dreams - many times. Sure fire way of waking you up in the middle of the night that's for sure.

I read about that in something science related. Its not a coincidence, your brain hears the sound first and then like that Deja vu feeling you dream about it. This Has happened to me a lot. Speaking of Deja Vu its so weird when I could of sworn I dreamt something and then I see it in real life. But of course its just my brain playing tricks on me.

A couple nights ago, I had the most vivid terrifying dream ever, I was being chased by Gunmen in a SUV and I crashed and flipped over, and then I ran through a playground and park for a long time. , , I though I lost them and I was lying on the grass on a hill, and they came out of no where, they all chased me through the park, and somehow I knocked all of them out except one. I lunged for him and he shot me, that's when I woke up all sweaty. I was confused for a long time because it was the most detailed and real dream I have ever had. I heard them, saw them, I saw everything, I even saw a policeman and asked him to help me, but I didn't think he heard me. It was scary. In the beginning of the dream, I even felt scared every time I ran a red light and I noticed I wasnt wearing my seat belt, but I guess I didnt want to wear it. Seemed like a very long dream.

Haaaahaaa
Sorry Brittany'.

Shorty is my online name from waaaaaaaay back and playing computer golf on the Commodore 64 with buddies. Always a beautiful shot but always comes up a bit short of the green. They started calling me "Shorty" and I kept it.

Long blocks of text are just because I don't get out enough and spend too much time responding to simple things. (Yeah, I talk a lot in real life too.) I tend to try too hard to communicate a point clearly.

But this time I will keep it short.

I had a friend in the past named Shorty Ray.

Dont get me wrong, post what you want. Its just that most people will not read bricks. So if you want your posts read, logically keeping it to the point will get your posts read by more people. Keep in mind this is a science forum, so most people here are smart enough to know what you're talking about without having to elaborate extensively.

I have had a few dreams when I worked at a gold mine that actually part of them happened after the dream, the bad parts didn't happen. But it was really weird.

I had surgery to have my gallbladder removed and woke up while the Dr. was cutting the incision bigger, I reached up grabbed the Dr. and said "that fucking hurts". The DR. told the anesthesiologist to give me a bigger dose since me body has a high tolerance to drugs. I was given another dose and went out and woke up as I was going into the recovery room. I was in my room and on morphine in 20 minutes after going into the recovery room. I also got an apology from the anesthesiologist for not listening to my Dr. he said he didn't want to kill me.

I'm a medical connundrum. Either drugs don't work much at all OR they work too well. And just to make it more fun, things that work one time don't usually work a second time in a row. Infections that require a visit to the "Doc" can't be treated with the same antibiotic as the previous treatment or it doesn't work. Took me years to fiure it out as I don't go to see the "Doc" unless really necessary.
And the doctors never believe me at first. They always try to prescribe the same thing and force me to go through the sufferring when it doesn't work.
One of the reasons for not going to see them. Hard to trust someone who won't listen or believe you.

So TJ, did you notice that Brittany' didn't bother reading all the short entries that might have tipped him that I'm not female and only quoted from the "brick" ?
And didn't look at the parts referring to 30+ years of living too.
Nevermind just looking up my profile...He must be hunting cougar...

Usually if a long brick is from a new member, someone I dont like, etc... I wont read it. If it is from a respected member of some sort then Ill read it. (Yes Shorty, you are worthy enough that I will read your brick :eg: ) Usually I will skip around the parts I dont think are important, because Im lazy. :p

@TJ your posts are also worth reading, because I can usually get a good laugh. :D

Do you guys know any methods to remember your dreams, I rarely remember my dream, I usually remember 1-2 dreams every 2 weeks. I would like to be able to remember them though. And no its not possible that someone doesn't dream, you dream every time you sleep, a lot of times you just don't remember.

What I really hate is when you are having a dream that you really or want to see what's going to happen and some butt head wakes you up. I have been able to go back to sleep and get back into it, but not very often.

Set your alarm to a crazy hour and have your pen and paper right next to you keep writing down you dreams and you will remember them better. But you must wake up at a hour you wouldn't so you are still in the middle of a deep dream like 2am or something....G/L

^^ That wouldn't be good, it would cause the sudden death of my alarm clock and I really like this one. It plays cd's and makes the sleepy sounds, like rain.

I heard that works the best. I might try that on the weekend. Wouldn't be a good idea in the weekday,

Is it really old or something? I would love to have one that made rain sounds, so when I cant sleep, I can turn it on.

How can anyone like a Alarm clock, I beat the s*** out of mine every morning. :eg:

Audio recorder would be best. This way you really woulnt even have to open your eyes to record your dream. Sometimes when I have an interesting dream I'll go over it multiple times while waking up.
