Huh?
Doesn't make sense. Power goes down when the IR filter is removed. Shouldn't it be otherwise?

IR filter deletion
377mw→488mw UP!!
300mw Hulk→500mw Hulk
That is why the IR filter is there.
The Laser now outputs an additional 111mW of dangerous
invisible IR radiation...
Your 532nm Laser Safely Goggles/Glasses if you even own
a pair...will NOT protect your eyes from the 111mW
of IR Laser radiation.
Removing the IR filter from your Laser is a really BAD Idea..IMO

111mW of IR is quite a lot. What is the labeled power of that laser?
I think you misunderstood.
What is the power marked on the label?
@Toaster: There SHOULD be a video demonstration of what that can do to you if it hits accidently to your eye.. IF , god forbid you have a 2W close reflection it will blind you in an instand let alone direct hit.. So since you are responsible and careful with your laser its all good entertainment untill one mistake/accident Thats why it is repeatedly suggested and warned to people!!
@Toutan: Very nice work, and since you have the IR Protection Eyewear it is all good..
Just be safe and dont think your laser is a 488mW Green Laser , It is Still a 377mW Green Laser and the rest of it is IR Spectrum which is not Visible..
Just a question, Why did you feel the need to remove the IR Filter?
Lol.. You guys are worried about ~110 mW of IR . Sissies.
I have NEVER used goggles even with a 2W 445.
Never had the slightest problem.
Don't look at the shiny end.
