A company contacted Laser Pointer Forums, LLC recently expressing significant safety, regulatory and legal concerns, and asking that we remove posts involving unauthorized dismantling of its products to obtain potentially dangerous internal laser components.
Safety is always our concern. Please do not submit additional posts that advocate or facilitate harvesting laser components from products designed for other purposes.
As a result of this issue, LPF has recently incurred significant legal costs, and we are asking members to increase their donations to help defray these expenses. The donation target will be temporarily raised to $800 monthly.
