does it seem real? 650 mW laser for 600$

Rayfoss does have a pretty good reputation on LPF, and from what I've heard their lasers do equal the power they advertise.
I would think this is legitimate, and would expect it to output about what they say, but you may want to get other opinions from more experienced members.

Go search the threads, there is plenty of info regarding Rayfoss lasers, including some of their larger models. Make sure and read ALL the posts though, as there are a few IIRC that started out as good reviews but down the thread a bit the lasers either became problematic and needed to be returned, died, etc and most of the ones with troubles were the high-powered styles.

Yeah ask Yobresal. Oh wait...I'm Yobresal.

I purchased the 500mW version of this laser. Loved it for a good month or so regardless of the regular maintenece I had to perform on it. It was all of 500mW and was very visible. Large beam diamter but to be expected for a laser of that power at that price. The power ended up dropping pretty significantly so I tore it apart and played with it's insides. I ended up replaceing the C-mount and selling it as an IR burner.
