What can the 30mw do? pop baloon, light matches ect. How about the beam visibility (day and night). Any other info fill free to add!

30mW, is 30mW green red or blue. so you MIGHT pop balloon if focused.... light match, dream on, cut electrical tape, same thing. There is a good beam in night and lighted area from a certain angle.I dont have one, but I have read about it
 
well its peaked at 81mw on the optotronic video, thats why i wanted to know about a match light.
 
you won't be able to guarantee that every RPL blue 30 will peak that high, it was probably luck. however, i way be wrong! you should ask Merl if he's about, he owns one i think.
 
As Jack from optotronics said, 81mW is not typical from their blue lasers. 30mW could probably pop a balloon, but not light a match.

Merl does own one and we used it on the UK meet to get a white beam mixing RGB. I'm not sure if it pops balloons but I know it's kicking out more than 35mw :) 8-)
 
The only way you can pop a balloon with a DX-30 is if you tape a pin to the end of it.
 
Sure, popping a ballon with 30mw should pose a problem if u use a dark colored balloon. My 15mw evo will pop a balloon quite easy although i think it puts out a bit more than 15mw. I don't see it lighting a match though, not without a lens that is. The same 15mw mentioned above has burned matches at impressive distances ( 10 meters ) with the aid off a lens.
Anyhow if u wanna know really sure i suggest u buy one [smiley=grin.gif] don't forget to share the results.
 
I'm interested in RPL-30 too.
Didn't Pseudo do a nice review on One RPL Blue before? Can someone post link please? I 'm pretty sure he blew up a balloon with it too.
 
pseudo did pop a balloon with an rpl 20 i think, i have seen the video via himself but cant rememba the site sorry. ul hav to ask pseudo
