hello guys, i have seen couple of threads about yellow lasers which are made by combine green and red laser..

i have just one unsolved question.

what RATIO should be between this two colours??

i have seen Rog makes one prety yellow beam from 5mw green and 5mw red.
is 1:1 ratio enough, or do we need much more of red to get a good results???
i would like to use my 50mw green laser, but will be 50mw of red enough or will i need much more??

i am sure it will not be easy to align everything together, but i definitely want to try it..

can anyone estimate what is the best ratio among red and green colour???

thank you

you need about 1:4 :o. In the laser rog uses the green is pulsed and he says the green is still to strong.

I'd agree with 1:4. It also depends on the shade you want, I prefer a slightly more golden yellow to a lime yellow. Your best bet is to start with significantly more red than green and adjust from there. It also depends on how efficient your method of combining the beams is.

Personally, I like the orange gold color using more red.  Have plenty of red and adjust the power for the color you want.  You will love it --
Congrats on going beyond the pop and burn mentality. Making colors is fun and involved. Enjoy the hobby. :)
