DIY 445nm pointer

You missed heatsink and battery. Both can cost significant amounts of money. And that is the very minimum. Generally you will also need host, and switch .. both usually come in form of LED flashlight.

And I guess you consider the most important, the goggles :)

Thank you for all the quick replies. As I already said I only own one laser pointer which I bought assembled from DX. I thought the aixiz module was a host and also act like a heatsink. And doesn't the driver already have a switch? Thank you.

As for the battery I plan on using one 18650, or would 2xCR2 be better?

You can not put 2 CR2 in series because the driver accepts only 4.2V maximum.

You have to think that when you buy the host, what type of battery accepts, and if the battery voltage is good to your driver.

Oops forgot flashlight hosts can't do parallel batteries. And about the aixiz module, is it suppose to go inside a host? Where does the heatsink go? Sorry for all the dumb questions.

The more I read about DIY pointers the more confusing it gets. How much would it cost to order an already assembled pointer with a A140 diode on a 18650 host, inc shipping to Portugal?
