I saw that movie last night and I really liked it. It always held my attention and I was very zoned into it lol.

Who else saw it? What did you think of it?
It has really good ratings on a lot of websites.. yahoo movies gave it an A-, and suprisingly rottontomatoes gave it 88%.

im going to see it tonight... im looking forward to it.
i hope its good

I saw it yesterday, I have to agree with mike, it really held my attention. I couldn't help but laugh through a few scenes, but it was worth paying to see. (which is more than I can say for a lot of movies these days) I've been to joburg too, so that was kind of cool, being like ":O, I know where that is~".

It's been over 24 hours, and I literally can't get it out of my head. thinking of going and seeing it twice. Thinking about it later, that movie ROCKED. I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to movies, but I really didn't have anything to complain about. I think a negative review said the shaky camera got old really fast, but I've been through tough situations, and it sorta is like that so maybe I just don't notice it :S because I certainly don't remember it being a problem.

Was the best movie I saw since Gran Turino (which kicked ass), people should check it out.
I agree with you there 100%. Gran Torino is definatly one of my favorite movies! (I believe I made a thread about it after I watched it, much like I've done with this movie)

District 9 is pretty cool, loved the transposition of apartheid into an extraterrestrial ghetto. Well made although the jittery "reality tv" camera work might make you a bit queasy. Good action shots, nice, grungy decors, and very good acting.
- fookin' praawns :D

I'd be comfortable to say it's in my top 5 of the year...

On the other end of the spectrum... G.I. Joe... that was 2 hours of my life i'll never get back... an utter piece of *#?#& !!! I was almost tempted to go at the ticket booth and ask for a refund! Grrrr.... :scowl:

for like the first hour i felt disturbed, it was like i was watching the holocaust happen all over again.

and sad thing is, thats prob what will happen if it was true.

....but it was a good movie. felt like i had jsut watched schindlers list lol
